Configuring Telnet/SSH Login

  1. Select the Telnet/SSH Login tab.
  2. Click Add to open the Telnet/SSH Login dialog box.

  3. Select the authentication method (Telnet/SSH Password/SSH public key).
    1. When Telnet/SSH Password is selected, define the following:
      • Alias: input the alias. Alias is an alternate username or login identifier that maps to the actual account credentials.
      • Username/password/confirm: define username password for password-based authentication. 
      • Decode Challenge with Private Key: Enable another layer of challenge-response authentication, then select a private key for decoding challenge text. 
    2. When SSH Public Key is selected, define the following:

      • Alias: input Alias
      • Username: input the username
      • Private Key: select a private key for authentication. 
  4. click OK.

Repeat steps 2 and 3 to add more entries if required.

Information Tip: The system polls these credentials in order when discovering network devices. To sort the order, right-click the target entry and select Move To Top or Move To Bottom.
