CVE Automation - Automation Data Table

The Automation Data Table is flexible and can automatically clone and execute checks on eligible devices after new CVE information is retrieved, and generate or update dashboards to display the results.

The ADT resources are placed in Automation Data Table Manager > Shared Tables > CVE Security Advisory. Three types of folders are available.

  • Domain-Aware CVE Reference folder. This ADT displays CVE information related to the customer’s environment and contains two ADTs.
    • Domain-Aware Vulnerability Criteria: This ADT analyzes the customer’s actual network devices and retrieves vulnerability information from various vendors, including CVEs that may not yet be published or updated in NIST, in order to perform comprehensive security checks.
You can maintain this ADT by manually adding CVEs to correct inaccurate CVE data, or by running the plugin. A screenshot of a computerAI-generated content may be incorrect.
    • NIST CVE Vulnerability Criteria: Automatically updated data based on a built-in template, tailored to your environment and relevant only to devices within the domain.

    • ADT Templates (Built-in, maintained by NetBrain): Predefined templates maintained by NetBrain.
    • Vendors Folder: Contains hotfix data provided by vendors, which can be maintained by both users and NetBrain.
    • NIST CVE Vulnerability Criteria (Built-in).
  • Vendor Security Advisory

Based on data in the Domain-Aware CVE Reference folder, advisories are categorized by vendor according to the device types present in the domain. For data before 2021, all records (up to 100,000 rows) are stored in a single ADT. For data from 2021 onward, records are divided into separate ADTs by year and quarter.
