Golden Config Pane on Map

The Golden Config is introduced to the Golden Engineering Studio (GES) to perform Golden Config Check and detect network changes. A Golden Config pane is added under the Intent Pane on a Map to make it easier to browse the Golden Config Check results. You can view the summary information and detailed Golden Config Check results for matched map devices and perform operations accordingly.

Golden Config Pane UI

By default, the first matched map device data will be displayed in the Golden Config pane. A sample Golden Config Pane UI is illustrated below:

  1. Summary Information area: It shows the count of matched devices, count of Golden Config Rules matched with these matched devices, and the count of alerts/compliances from Golden Config Check results. Refer to View Summary Information of Golden Config Check for detailed information.
  2. Verify: You can manually verify all the golden config rules in batch to get the latest results. See Manually Verify Golden Config Rule in Batch for more information.
  3. Summary Information for a specified device: It shows the statistical data for the specified device, it includes the number of applied Golden Config Rules, and the count of alerts and compliances from the applied Golden Config Rules. Refer to View Golden Config Check Results Per Device for more information.
  4. Config lines: The full config lines from the selected device are displayed by default.
  5. Instances of the Applied Golden Config Rules: The Golden Config Rules matching with the device are identified by unit of instance. The Golden Config Rules are shown as Golden Config Rule Check Note on the right side and are color-coded to indicate the golden config check results (Alert/Compliance).
  6. Check Config Against Golden Rule window: This is a window for displaying the details of Golden Config Check results for each config instance and verifying against the current golden rule. Refer to Check Config Against Golden Rule for more information.

Device Access Control in Golden Config Pane

If you do not have the privilege to access the current device, the device data such as config file and Config-let will not be loaded in this pane. Consequently, no Golden Config check result will be displayed.
